I’m Lavette Cephus, a nail artist with 18+ years in the game and a story that stretches far beyond the salon chair. I’m not just shaping nails, I’m shaping narratives, blending bold beauty, unfiltered storytelling, and fashion-forward design,  into art that speaks louder than words.

Since launching Beaute Asylum in 2013, I’ve been committed to building more than a brand, I’ve built a movement rooted in creativity, visibility, and voice. My work has graced runways, red carpets, magazine covers, and celebrity hands, while my journey has inspired beauty professionals and dreamers alike.

It’s a split-screen solo podcast where I paint my thoughts one hand at a time, transforming lived experiences into visual nail art and raw spoken truth. From single motherhood to spiritual breakthroughs, I speak on what I used to suppress, in hopes to inspire, motivate, and help someones else. One Thought, one Hand, one Episode at a time

My personal style is part of the story. Through my FASHION BLOG, I explore what it means to show up bold, unapologetically me, with looks that match my energy and, nails to match the moment. Every post is another layer of the narrative, where polish, purpose, presence, and resilience collide.

Over the last 18+ years, I’ve traveled across the U.S. to master my craft, teach, and connect. I’ve taught thousands, from beginners to beauty brand teams, through in-person and virtual CLASSES, even taught free youth programs. I share more than technique. I pour into purpose, helping artists tap into their creativity, sharpen their skills, and grow their confidence. My classes and training don’t just teach technique, I teach transformation!
